Kangaroo House subs was broken into last night. The thieves stole various items including: a microwave, laptop and cash. The thieves stole from more than a sub shop though. Kangaroo House is part of a nonprofit organization called, “God’s Loving Hands Feeding the Homeless” which feeds the homeless.
God’s Loving Hands Feeding the Homeless was founded by Mr. Derrick Dorsett. The purpose of God’s Loving Hands Feeding the Homeless is to serve more than meals. God’s Loving Hands Feeding the Homeless uses the meals, given to homeless, as an opportunity to show compassion and support for people. God’s Loving Hands intends to provide various support to the community, including job fares, movie nights and after school programs for at-risk children.
The thieves broke through the front store window to enter Kangaroo House Subs. Tape of the crime shows three men breaking into the store, just before 11 p.m. The thieves walked through the store removing cash. This included a large jar that Kangaroo House Subs uses to collect donations for God’s Loving Hands Feeding the Homeless.
